Dream Connections: An Introduction to Dreamwork Dream Connections: An Introduction to DreamworkDreams are often confusing, sometimes funny, and sometimes scary. But with a few tools, you can begin to understand your dreams, learn from them, and embark on wonderful adventures. Forget the dream dictionary: in this introductory session, you will learn to be your own dream expert. We'll share dreams, learn a quick method for exploring them, and experiment with re-entering the dream space. Re-Membering DreamsHow can we bring nighttime dreams into waking consciousness, bring those missing pieces back into memory? The answer is a combination of intention, planning, and recording. Indepth approaches include dream incubation and re-entry. We'll discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each, share our experiences, and (as time permits) experiment. Creative DreamingDreams are a wonderful source for creativity in art and in life. When we connect with our dreams, we bring new energy to our creative efforts as we experience fresh, mysterious and compelling images, words and ideas. In this workshop, we use our own dream images as we draw, write and create dream theater. Using dream inspiration makes for vibrant work! Each artist is the expert on his or her own dreams. Dream Art and Artful DreamingCome to this workshop ready to splash some paint around! We'll explore dream images while borrowing techniques from expressive artists like Shaun McNiff and Aviva Gold. Dreams communicate with us in images; sometimes we need to create images of our own to connect with dream energy. Give yourself permission to explore. Dream StoriesDreams can be shared in the form of stories... Some of the most powerful stories of all time have come from dreams. And sometimes our dreams create stories over time, as similar scenes and characters appear again and again. We'll experiment with writing dream stories in different formats, to learn from our dreams as we bring new energy to our writing. Dream Teachers and AlliesThe universe brings us challenges but always offers help. Explore how dreams open doors to new allies and teachers. These can include animal guides, angels, ancestors, and wonderful teachers from many times and places. During the workshop, we'll share dreams and use dream re-entry to get in touch with our guides. Who is helping you?? Dreams and HealingYou know that visualizations can help reduce stress, increase immune function, and speed healing... but do you know how dreams can contribute to this healing work? This workshop explores healing images found in dreams and how to use those images in visualizations tailored to your needs and feelings. Dreaming the WorldWhat do we do with "Big Dreams" about world events? Do our dreams have any effect on the world around us? This workshop explores ideas about what dreams mean in world affairs. We'll share dream experiences and discuss how some groups are seeking to build dream bridges to a better future. Celtic DreamersImages of the dream and the dreamer are found throughout Celtic myth and story, from ancient times up to the present day. This workshop explores what the dreamers of the Celtic lands knew about the dream worlds and how we can share in their experiences. The Inn of Infinite DreamsIs it possible to visit a specific dream location? Many dreamers through the ages have thought so. In this workshop, we'll discuss dream places and how one might visit them. And we'll experiment with a visit to a favorite place of mine: The Inn of Infinite Dreams. |
